Dr. Peter Graefe

Dr. Peter Graefe is an Associate Professor at McMaster’s Faculty of Political Science. His research interests flow from a broad interest in Canadian political economy and public policy, and include: social and economic development policies in Quebec and Ontario; provincial social assistance policies; and federal and provincial intergovernmental relations strategies.  Peter sits down with us to talk elections and what the year ahead looks like for Hamilton.

Jeff Valentine

Jeff Valentine is the owner of both the Jet Café (184 King St. East) and owner of the John Street Diner (29 John St. N).  Jeff is also a former Toronto Police Services Officer, who moved to Hamilton and opened The Jet 12 years ago. His other new venture, The Jet Hall — a newly renovated banquet hall — is located at 746 Barton St. E.  Jeff sits down with us to talk about his businesses and his thoughts on Downtown Hamilton.

Karen Burson

Karen Burson is a Project Manager at Environment Hamilton.  She is charged with getting Hamiltonians access to local, affordable and healthy food via the Hamilton Eat Local and Good Food Box programs. Karen joins us on the phone to update us on these programs and to let Hamiltonians know how they can participate.
