Big Susie’s presents/International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers/Dec16 @thesainttweets

Big Susie’s is presenting a film and open mic night in celebration of sex for work and for pleasure in honour of the International Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers. On Tuesday, December 16th the short-films screening, emceed by sex educator and fetish performer extraordinaire, Mistress Morgan Thorne, begins at 7:30 p.m. @ This Ain’t Hollywood, 345 James Street North, Hamilton ON.

Films titles include: “Last Rescue in Siam”, “Nada”, “Remember the Living: Monica Forrester on Sisters in Spirit & Indigenous Sex Workers”, “Transitioning Through Sex Work”, and “Whore Pride”. Cost of admission is $10 each or pay-as-you-can.

The films will be followed by an open mic, and we invite adult performers, (drag, burlesque, BDSM demonstrations, poetry, songs, drumming etc.), to share their talents to commemorate the resilience and perseverance of sex workers who continue to suffer from systemic violence through modes of criminalization, marginalization, and stigmatization.
